From early on, drawing and painting have always been a part of me. Encouraged by my mother in the beginning as a past time that would entertain me for hours, the creative process developed into a necessity for my life such as air, water, food and every other necessity for maintaining life.

For the past ten years I've participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions in and around New York. My interests and flexability to work with all kinds of mediums have led me to explore the world of printing; using designs that I've sculpted into unfired plates made of clay and hand coloring each print. (more on Clay Prints)

Printing from clay is a printing process that I began developing in 2003, and went public with my first print “Natural Connection”, submitted for and now part of the permanent collection of the peace poster project, “Yo! What Happened To Peace” in California in 2004.

I describe my work as meditations on a person, structure or object, so that the focus is purely on the matter at hand and the story surrounding the central image is for the viewer to create. Most of my work relies heavily on memory because many of my subjects appear while I'm in transit, so I'll work from quick sketches with notes to be used later on with various mediums that are available to me or that work best for the idea.

BIOGRAFIA                 ARRIBA
