I had a very clear vision for my Japan panel from the onset of this project. It was to fill each section with color, animated characters and lots of familiar imagery.

This panel, more than any other, was an exercise in restraint. A colleague advised me on not overdoing it. Of course, I knew exactly what she was talking about and agreed; I decided to stop and leave the white space. I'm glad that I heeded that advice. It's difficult, though, but very necessary to know when to call it quits.
